Béziers is one of the oldest cities in France. Today, Béziers is a city with lots to see and do.

The Cathedral of Saint-Nazaire, located in the old part of the city, is a landmark for miles around, dominant above a wide sweep of the River Orb.

The city is especially famous for its Feria in mid-August, a spectacular festival with fireworks, street parades, dancing, and bullfighting.

The Canal du Midi passes on the outskirts of the city, where one can enjoy the spectacular rise of 9 locks at Fonseranes, probably the most audacious engineering feats of Paul Riquet’s famous 17th Century canal.
