The house is situated on a site of over 4 acres of pinewood that are part of the property. The site is shared with the owners who live in an other cottage about 50 meters away. Both places are very private. Your terrace is not overlooked and your view over the rolling vineyards towards Saint-Chinian is unobstructed.

St Chinian

Saint-Chinian is a famous regional centre for wine making with a full range of shops, including wine outlets, restaurants and café terraces. It boasts an excellent, twice weekly, lively morning market held in the square under the plane trees: Thursday & Sunday. Saturday flea markets are often held in the same place.

Donnadieu

La Pineda is situated just outside the tiny hamlet of Donnadieu in the heart of the vineyards of Saint-Chinian. There is very little traffic on the small roads that lead from Donnadieu to St Chinian and Babeau-Bouldoux.

Swimming

On the banks of the River Orb there are several beaches where the swimming is good, but also around Saint-Chinian you can cool off in the River Vernazobre. The beaches of the Mediterranean Sea are just over 40 minutes drive from La Pineda.
