St Chinian

Saint-Chinian is a famous regional centre for wine making with a full range of shops, including wine outlets, restaurants and café terraces. It boasts an excellent, twice weekly, lively morning market held in the square under the plane trees: Thursday & Sunday. Saturday flea markets are often held in the same place.

Canoeing

Canoeing on the River Orb is both exciting and relaxing. Follow the River down, individually in a Kayak, or two together in a larger canoe. There are different starting points, itineraries and distances: Roquebrun, Cessenon or Tarrassac. Make sure you take a picnic with you as there are many river beaches along the way. Stop wherever you choose. It’s great family fun.

The Office de Tourisme network, which can be found in Saint-Chinian and Capestang, have friendly staff, only too ready to help you with your holiday requirements and to help you make the most of what this beautiful region has to offer the visitor.
