Hortons from Les Hirondelles, Roquebrun wrote on 09/08/2017:
We spent a glorious week at Les Hirondelles towards the end of July 2017. The property is beautifully and stylishly renovated - we loved the floor tiles and period features. The best thing about the property is the large balcony, with views to the river. We spent many evenings there reading and playing games. Parking is not a problem as the property comes with a large garage (high celilinged so roof box + bike was not a problem). It's very near to the river and right next to the bakery - handy for our daily swim and morning croissants. Roquebrun itself is lovely and great fun. We would love to return and stay at the property again. We are a family of 4 from the UK.

We komen zeker terug.

Aanrader!
Eleanor, Chettle & Cully from La Fontaine wrote on 06/06/2017:
'La Fontaine' is a gorgeous house in a lovely tranquil setting. Our family, which includes two toddlers, spent a wonderful ten days here and loved every minute of it. The children in particular enjoyed the outdoor courtyard and swimming pool (although in May it was a little too cold for them to do much more than dangle their legs in). The house has three lovely bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, so perfect for those travelling in couples or as a larger family. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for cooking, although the village does have three great restaurants (including one more or less opposite the house) so no need to spent too many nights toiling over the stove! The village itself sits on the Canal du Midi so is perfect for walking, cycling or boating along the canal. The village itself is very quiet (although it does have a little shop) so for major shopping trips or other amenities a 5 minute car journey to the neighbouring village is necessary but we didn't find this to be a problem. The baker's van does stop near the house most days, but not until a little later in the morning. Other famous regional sights are within easy reach if you have a car, including Carcassonne, Montpelier, Minerve, several lovely beaches and Fontfroide Abbey. Overall, we loved our stay and Monique and Reinoud were so helpful with recommendations for things to do. We would certainly recommend it without reservation.
